I don't need a full rebrand, just a refresh. Can you do this?
Yep! If you have an existing logo or visual identity, sometimes we can update and refresh it instead of creating something new. This might mean modernising your logo, updating your colour palette and/or selecting new fonts. In any case, our goal with a refresh is to enhance what you already have, rather than starting from scratch.
What is the difference between a logo and visual identity?
A logo is the symbol or image that is used to identify your brand. A visual identity references all of the visual elements that make up the look and feel of your brand, including your logo, colours, fonts, imagery styles and other graphical elements.
How long does it take to build a website?
It's a tricky question to answer without knowing the specifics of the project. But smaller sites tend to take at least around 2 months to complete, more complicated projects can go beyond that.
What constitutes a round of revisions?
When you receive a design proof, you may be happy with it as is. Then, we all high five cos’ we nailed it! But, on occasion you might like to see a tweak or change, so for every deliverable listed in our agreement, we include up to 2 rounds of revisions. One 'round' involves us interpreting all your feedback and making changes to create a revised version of that deliverable. Revision rounds are for modifications only, they do not include creating an entirely new concept or design. If you have questions about this, please feel free to ask us!
I have an old busted website that needs refreshing, can you help?
We'll be happy to take a look. In our experience it almost always more cost and time efficient to start over with a clean slate rather than try to untangle something that is long overdue a makeover.
How do you develop my website?
We like Webflow and have built our own website in Webflow because it gives us incredible design flexibility, complete control over our website, intuitive visual design tools, easy to use CMS and excellent support.
How does Webflow compare to WordPress and Squarespace?
WordPress and Squarespace are both great platforms that serve many businesses well. There's no one-size-fits-all solution when it comes to choosing a content management system and each have their distinct benefits.
We always recommend evaluating your options, doing your research and choosing the right platform for your needs and your business. Check out these comparisons to WordPress and Squarespace to understand how Webflow stacks up to other popular content management systems. If you have a specific question about Webflow's features, please feel free to ask us.
How much does it cost to use Webflow?
Webflow accounts are completely free if you have no more than 2 websites. But, to launch any website online you build you'll need to pay for hosting. If you've never built a website before, you can think of it like rent for your online home.
When you use some platforms (like WordPress), you bring your own hosting with you and manage your own backups. Other platforms (including Webflow, Squarespace and Shopify) manage your hosting and backups for you.
You can visit the Webflow website to read more about their pricing, plans and inclusions to choose the hosting that's right for you.
Which browsers do you support?
Your website will be tested across various browser platforms and devices to fix and address any bugs. This will include testing of the website in the latest version of the following browsers: Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, Firefox and Safari. If you require earlier browser versions or specific browsers, please let us know and we'll do our best to accommodate.
Will my website work on mobile devices?
Yes it will! Your customers are viewing your website on mobile, and so it's really important that your website looks and performs beautifully on mobile too. All our websites are responsive, so they will resize to the screen size for all devices, including desktops, laptops, tablets and mobiles.
What are you hourly rates?
Do you require upfront payment?
Yes, we require an upfront deposit of 50% prior to the project commencement. Once we receive your payment we can add you to our calendar and schedule in your project.
Do you offer a non-disclosure contract?
Will I need to know how to write code to edit my website?
No, you don't. One of the reasons we love Webflow is because you don't need to speak any coding languages to make changes to your website. You literally control every single pixel visually, without limitation. That's why we love it!
Content changes such as editing text, adding new blog posts, portfolio items and swapping out images is really intuitive and easy.
Webflow's visual designer writes the code for you as you make design changes, but it is not quite the same as some 'drag and drop' editors you may have used before. Webflow has some great in depth tutorials to support your learning and allow you to maintain the professionalism of your website if you choose to make design changes to your website.
